Back from "God's Country"

Just back from an extended long weekend of bird hunting, with "Dilly" and a couple of other buds at a cottage in the Renfrew area. The 3 Wirehairs, a Brittany and my Pudelpointer all had a great time. Good numbers of grouse around and a few woodcock starting to come thru. My dog Blitz had his first exposure to grouse as we moved 10-15 a day. After flushing and chasing and having a great time for the first 3 days, he finally pointed his first grouse and woodcock on the fourth day. Was great exposure for him to get to be around that many wild birds, and will be a good start on the Woodcock season around here, hopefully next week or 2.
