View Full Version : Hunt test scheduling

Just a quick question regarding the hunt test schedule for 2008. I know the premiums will be posted on the HRC site when it gets closer to the actual dates in question. But do the tests generally fall around the same weekends every year? Kingston - last weekend in May, LOHRC - first weekend in June, etc. etc....

The reason I am asking is that I have to have my vacation days in for 2008 next week...Don't want to miss out...

The dates for the HRC events usually fall around the same time every year. Each club has a designated weekend. Georgian Bay's hunt is always Labour Day weekend. Yet to be decided if it will be a one or two day hunt.

Ottawa's is usally around aug 10-12

I believe our test (Kingston) will be May 24 and possibly May 25.

That would put Lake Otario as May 31-June 1 this year

Ottawa should be Aug 9-10

Luther should be Aug 16

The clubs each have a weekend number which will be the same most years.

Essex usually the 1st weekend in May. Which will be our 20th anniversary

The club has not decided yet officially, we will decide at our AGM in a month or so.

Just to add to the confusion - Lake Ontario HRC will be having an Upland Hunt on November 24 (that is next month!!!)

Also, we (Luther Marsh HRC) has been notified from the UKC that our Upland Hunt date is April 12, 2008.

Just in case anyone wanted to jam in a little "upland" and another title for their dog.

I guess this would be for Drew to decide, but since the test results doesn't seem to get much traffic could it be changed for members to post dates and contact info for upcoming tests.

I can do that, infact I will do it for both Field Trials and Hunt Tests. I will do it later when I get the chance....it is a good idea.

Also one thing to consider is the Calendar that is built into the forum software. What we have done in the past was add the HT & FT dates into this. I will do a little " tweaking" later today so that it is all tied together.
