got out for a nite shoot with the gang

the birds started to show with just a little more than a half hour of legal left

it turned into mayhem as we scrambled to gather in birds or at least get the white bellies turned down as the next flock approched

surprise:bf_new: one of the geese was banded and was claimed by my brother[it was his field:cool__1: ]

we ended up with 22 geese and 6 mallards

not the best pics at nite but here they are

Now thats a hunt Quacker, nice to see a couple young lads out there to. bet the dog sleep good last night (Nice Choc). Havent did a night hunt yet this year, hate cleaning birds in the dark, but with your take it might pay to, not many doing it around here! :kewlpics:

Been a long long time since I have had a shoot like that.

Did you have birds landing on top of your decoys?

I remember one day we had some many geese and ducks coming in this cornfield in guelph that we had mallards walking over our goose decoys.
We were in such awe that we didn't fire one round LOL!

i knew the pic quality was not the best in the dark so had don pose for a shot with his band when arriving at his home

the dog in that pic is chloe [the kook's mom] owned by don
