I think I remember an article in Retrievers OnLine about concept ponds. It would be in the last few years.

Quack, here are a couple I saved to my fav, that I was looking at in the spring, if they are not what he is looking for, they still have great ideas that might help him!

Here is a link to RTF, scroll down to post #6, Evan Graham posted a drawing of Rex Carr's concept/cheating pond.

The actual design of the pond often depends a great deal on the local lay of the land. I wrote an article on concepts to incorporate and how to design an amateur's pond in Retrievers ONLINE Vol 12, 2001, Issue #3 pages 19-21. It is still availbale from me. Mike Lardy also wrote one about the same time in the Retriever Journal. It was somewhat similar.
there was also a website with about 30 training pond diagrams from around the country including mine. I can't find that site now but maybe someone will have more luck searching.
Cheers

Dennis, I think that you may be thinking on Orion Dog Supply, but they are not in business anymore!
