Hey Gang,

I just thought I would post a little warning for those of you that use Bell sympatico as your email server. If you see a " Upgrade to Bell Premium" Email services DON"T DO IT !!!!

I did it this morning and I lost my email account, the wife's upgraded fine but mine is lost in "cyberspace" :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: .

Not only that I cannot get the wife's to align with Microsoft outlook at all. Tech support told me it is a microsoft problem and not there's. I blew up at them when I told them it worked fine before....

Sorry just venting, sometimes upgrading is not a good idea  . So now I am stuck without my old email and I lost all my old contacts. If anyone needs to email me my new email is....

Drew,

I just wanted to see that no one gives a damn about your plight, and AHH HAAA!! lol

God dealing with call centres is frustrating!! Good luck, and can I suggest "May I speak to your stupid-visor please"...

Well it's there, I can log into it and everything but no one can send anything to me or can I send anything out.

I have erased it and even tried re-creating it but still no go:censored:

Drew

Oh and by the way, :offtopic: but why can't they hire people who speak English (at least to the point that we can understand it?)

I left Bell for the same reasons. Couldn't get any help. Now have all 4 services with Rogers and have had no problems so far.

Not sure if they are on St. Thomas yet, but I switched from Sympatico to MNSI.net about a month ago.. awesome... better connection, great tech support and I have not had any problems. Email and Internet have been solid.. what is really funny is that the Infrastructure is the same.. Different DSLAM, but still Bell's Equipment. Check em out. Cheaper too... maybe they are in St. Thomas now

Drew,

Have you checked your computer for a Personal Folder File (.pst file). Micorsoft Outlook stores contacts, calendar information, and email (both sent and received) in these files.

Once you find the file - hopefully the last modified date is relatively recent and then import the file into Outlook.

At least once every couple weeks I create back-ups of Outlook and save the packup as a .pst file - don't want to lose any info
