Now that the Superbowl is over it's time to start racing!:spoton:
Are there any race fans here? Who is your Driver?
Last year the Bud shootout was the first race I have ever watched from start to finnish,I got hooked. As a rookie fan I picked a rookie driver (David Ragan # 6 the AAA car) He had a good season but this year should be interesting.

PS The bud shootout is this Saterday night and 12 days till Daytona:bigrin

I am leaving on Friday for the 500 and should arrive on Sunday. We are taking our trailer down and staying at a camp ground near by. The day of the race is my 40th birthday and my wife has been planning this for the past 2 years. I found out at Christmas time. This will be our first Nascar race we will be attending and we have tickets for the Saturday night race as well. We're thinking of getting tickets for the duels on Thursday.

My driver is #20 and I am looking forward to seeing how they do with switching to Toyota this year. My wife's driver is Michael Waltrip.

Nascar...that just gets you dizzy. The real racing starts in Melbourne AUSTRALIA on the 14,15,16 March 2008. F1 now that's racing.

If they ain't rubbin they ain't racin....

As for NASCAR..
I don't really have a favorite driver since Awesome Bill retired, just like to watch good racing.
Now if I had to bet on who is going to have a breakout year.....#2
43 cars at 190+mph running in a pack does shake the stands, what a rush.

So Nascar drivers are demolition derby experts.:stirpot:

I just find it pretty boring watching cars drive circles. However, when there is a Nascar road race that I do enjoy.

aaahhhh Nascar.....

It's ok but I used to love it before all these stupid rules that were made for TV. ( lucky dog award, race for the chase ect...)

I used to be a die hard Rusty Wallace fan but since he has retired I have kinda leaned twards the #11 fed ex car of Denny Hamlin. This year will be an interesting one with #88 on a new team and Stewart in a Toyota.

If you want to see REAL racing look no further than Supercross or Motocross. That is a true iron man sport.

I agree! I would say that rally racing or F1 really showcases a drivers talent ie.. turn both ways, with the rally guy's getting the nod for balls that clank going into a dirt corner on the side of a 300 ft drop at warp speed!

I was always an Earnhardt Sr. fan growing up. I switched to a Jr. fan his rookie year and have been a fan ever since.

Now, is anybody watching the clinic he is putting on tonight. Even his pit crew is bang on....

Boogity, Boogity, Boogity boys, let's go racin'.........................:dribble:

To help with getting through the cold spell, here are some pictures from here in Florida. It got to 24 degrees today in Daytona Beach. There was a bit of a wind so it felt a little bit cooler.
