If t hey had played the Islanders the way played Montreal in the first periode it would have been a different story.
Regardless, the Islanders have to meet the hottest team in the league right now. I don't think they are going to do well against Buffalo.
Hopefully the leafs will regroup and put it together better for next year.

I love the leafs, I taught my kid to say Go Leafs Go as soon as he could speak. When we went up to Sudbury to visit the inlaws before they had TV, I would sit in the car in -30 weather to listen to the game on the car radio. But I gotta say I'm relieved they didnt make it. They have some great players but they still need to make some changes. And lets face it, they wouldnt have gone more than 5 or 6 games in the playoffs. Hopefully they can get some good draft picks and build on the youth they already have. We are paying now for several years of trying to buy the cup by trading away good young talent for aging veterans to make a playoff run. We leaf fans will take a lot of abuse for a couple years but it will be worth it in the end.

But you know deep down I really do feel bad for you guys, just think, this is a whole generation of people and the start of another generation (GO LEAFS GO):bleh: that have been cheering for a team and have never seen them win the cup and probably will never, as long as they keep selling out that arena when the team is losing the management there has no need to put a winning product out.

With a forcast like that I would start cheering for Ottawa if I was you guys.....hahahahahahah....

Then you could teach your kids GO SENS GO.....HAHAHA....

Hey Kevin you wont find anyone harder on their team than a true Habs fan.
Dont kid yourself it bothers me that they turtled, When you are conditioned to winning you learn to expect it. And having a cancer like Alexie Kovalev a guy that is only in it for the money and himself is sickening. Watchout for some serious moves by Bob Gainey this summer. Another joke is that Sheldon Souray yes he did score over 20 goals but answer me this how was his +/-. He scored over 20 and was the root cause of how many against???? I hope the Leafs pick him up as a free agent.....lol....
