What makes you get nervous?

What makes you get nervous
For me, usually walking to line.......
Personally when I haven't been nervous, we haven't done that well. When we are nervous, things seem to go better. Not sure why.
I think nervousness comes from a desire to do well, and an expectation of success caused by alot of effort.
Or your shorts are too tight.........

I think it is the pressure of hoping that nothing goes wrong. I have been told by many people that if you don't feel this way you should not be playing the game. I am sure most people get nervouse even if it is only a little bit. This will be my first Finished test and I always get that way with a new experience. You will too Rocko...trust me. If you are coming out this weekend bring Larry that Chooch with the Britney.

I was at the LOHRC. on Saturday just visiting with a friend, no dog no pressure, had a great time. I met up with some friends I have not seen or talked to in a long time, for me it was real treat I got to see some nice dog work in all three stakes. There were 4 different breeds of dog that I saw working. This club put on a very good hunt test :nice work: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Well to be honest I did get a bit nervous watching some friends working their dogs, guess that will always be with me.

Once again LOHRC put on a GREAT test, I was judging finished on Saturday and running today. The club really does a great job at keeping things organized. For anyone that has never attended one of their hunt tests you should really try to go. It is a great weekend.

Well, I am finally home, haven't unpacked the van yet, but ya gotta have priorities!!
We had a great hunt weekend, barring the nasty weather on Saturday (thunderstorms, hail, drenching downpour, hot sun) and general overall damp and cool temperatures. Today we didn't have heavy rain, just a very gentle drizzle, so it wasn't bad weather for working dogs at all.
I am hugely proud to report that Taylor finished her HRCH today, doing it in fine style, never even taking her eyes off the go-bird on land today when the crazy black Lab beside her broke. She ran her cleanest test ever. This special little girl has taken me waaaay beyond where I imagined we could go. It was a pleasure to finish under judges Rusty Wismer and Mike Millward, who gave us our 3rd pass last summer at the Luther Marsh hunt. Not to be outdone, my temporary visitor (yeah, right!), Boots, went 3 for 3 in Seasoned, finishing his title today. I was thoroughly soaked, twice, with very cold water! It could have been worse - as Taylor finished the water test this afternoon, I heard Rusty say to Mike "Do you want to push her in, or shall I??" Luckily they didn't follow through on that, it was a very mucky pond.....j
I would like to thank the Lake Ontario training group for helping us get here and especially John Chevalier, who has given so much to this group and has been so supportive of me and my "fou-fou" dogs!

I meant to also add that Henry Goeree, who is the king of soaking people, finished his dog Skeeter today and skipped out without a dousing. I'm sure we can make up for that at another test this year......
Way to go Liz, you deserve all you've achieved. Congrats to Will (TrapperWill) and Gauge on their HR title too!!!! I was down at the LOC CKC test and was thinking of all of "the HRC gang" off and on all weekend. Henry MUST get his just rewards!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Liz on the title. It was a laugh to watch you touch, no Hug your dog, before the test was complete. I wondered what the judges would do.
:cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:
I would like to add my thanks as well to the training group, especially John Chevalier, and my brother Brent for helping me out. Always willing to share their equipment and knowledge.
The judges were great. Although I didn't pass on Sunday, Rusty Wismer and Jerry Wickens were very encouraging and together with Brent pointed out a sublte handle that at least helped in my pass on Sunday. Thanks Guys!:nice work:
All the best of luck at line to everyone.
