Dog's testing positive for heartworm

Hey gang,

This topic seams to becoming more popular on all the dog forums in the past year. It seams that more and more dogs are testing positive for HW even when they are on preventative HW meds.

At first it just seamed that it was happening to people using Heart Guard but now I read of it happening to people using revolution, advantage and all the popular Meds.

I wonder if there is a new strain of them that are becoming resilient to these meds? What are your thought's?

I know most of what we read on "the NET" happens in the US but last year my vet warned me about this and said quite a few in my area were testing positive.

That is great welcomeani hopefully she is willing to jump in and participate with the board. I would really like to see what she has to say about this topic. I think most people have been watching this over the past year or so.
