Well, the results are in for my first ever NAVHDA dog. I ran Kaiser twice this spring, first at Luther Marsh a couple weeks ago, and today at Pineridge Preserve. The first test went well with a score of 102 prz 2. His score suffered mainly due to my release at the track portion which I am told is usually a crap shoot especially for a dog that is as "amped up" as mine. I felt he could do a bit better so I ran him again at Palotta's and he nailed the track and field portion solidly but lost a point on water because he seemed more interested in the scents around the pond than swimming...oh well, dogs will be dogs. We ended up with a 107 prz 1 which I am very happy with and proud of. I also met some fine people and got some great advice along the way which can only benefit my mutt come hunting season.
