Whoever said retriever people are stand-offish has never met any. Sunday we did the annual clean up day for want of a better word on the farm. The GBHRC and the York Retriever Club did an amazing job. It is really surprising how much work 30 pair of hands and 4 chainsaws can do. They even got the pesky pine out on the island. I truly appreciate them giving up a Sunday of training or picnic trialing to do this for us. Every year the work they do makes the grounds that much better for training.
Now we can test out some of the work at the Fun Hunt next weekend. Hope the weather warms up even more.
The only things left behind yesterday were a pair of pruners and a brown dog.

Tried to take some pictures while the work was going on but got side tracked. We have 119 acres with 3 ponds. The last pond was dug a couple of years ago and I have plans to expand it. The fields vary from flat to hilly. Some field trialer think we don't have enough distance for their taste but our training buddies have set up some wicked test. Will try to post some pictures.

This Field trialer thinks your grounds are excellent, and wants to be kept in mind if you ever decide to adopt.
