Ok, living on the edge of civilization, I've become used to the 'limits' imposed on my training schedule by the weather. Snow in the Fall, lots-o-snow in the Winter and snow in the spring. The only saving grace for me was that the summers did not get too hot and I had a number of fields to choose from for training.

We have yet to see the first cut of Hay taken off!! RAIN rain rain rain rain. Blue sky to blinding thundershower to blue sky again - over and over, day after day. Chit - winter training in parking lots is beginning to look good - I know the field crew at the local soccer field by name! The two baseball diamonds I use haven't even been kept up this season! Good thing my dogs like to swim...

Ok, back to your regular programing....*sigh*

Jojoe, I know how you feel. The hay is still standing around the house and in the big field. It will be good for nothing I am afraid we will have to pay someone extra to cut it and haul it away. I was thinking they could put it in a big stack as an obstacle in the field. To day I tried running drills on the lawn and was interupted by 6 phone calls all from the same person. Took me from 10:00 to 2:00 to get 4 dogs and 2 drills done with all the interuptions. Next time I ignore the phone completely. Now I know why I never charge my cell phone.
See you on the weekend at Tiny.

Last year everyone was complaining that it was to hot and all the ponds had no water or they where to stagnant to run the dogs in. I too am sick of the rain, but on the good side, the ponds look great this year for one, and if its raining, the black flies and mesquites aren't as bad, plus the sun is not cooking my butt off, also training in the rain will prepare your dog, just incase it rains at the hunt test. Its hard to find good in bad, but trust me, there is always a good side to everything! Just watch out for those freak hail storms :censored: they hurt big time!!!! Grab a rain coat, and get out and train, leave the sun screen at home!

Yeh I don't mind training in the rain either.. but here it seems to be not just rain but thunder & Lighting :(

We had hail storm on saturday.. Now both the our cars have dents in them from the hail...

I was stuck waiting for the hail to stop in my Suzuki Swift as hail the size of ice cubes were bouncing off my new car :(..

I hope I never get in an accident in it.. It sounded like somebody put a tin garbage can over my head and was hitting it with a stick....

CRAZY!!..
