A friend of mine and I are trying to plan a 4 day grouse trip in the north bay area. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a camp ground or lodge type place that was close to crown land. Were looking to get our dogs on a few birds. We'd like to tent it to keep our costs down.
Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

I would recommend contacting the MNR office in that WMU. I have found them very useful and helpful when planning trips. Last winter they gave me snow reports, maps and other information to help plan my end of March Grouse and Rabbit hunt.

Chris, I have gone to Temagami for grouse trips in the past which is another 45 mins north. There is a provincial park in Temagami and you might want to contact them about camping. If you are interested in going to Temagami? I can point you in the right direction as to where you can go hunting for ruffed grouse.
