Hi everyone, I've been lurking at this forum for a while, but have never posted. I've been looking to add a retriever to my family in the future, so I've been reading up on a lot of info here.

Anyways, my main reason for posting is that on Aug 2, my dog Taz (doberman) went missing around the Bancroft area while we were camping. He is a neutered male, very big boned (euro working line), a bit aloof with strangers, but not aggressive. Cropped ears and docked tail, around 90 lbs.

If anyone happens to live in that area and or heading for some early season scouting and run across him, please send me an email at sherlockbonez@hotmail.com. We miss him dearly......

He's no hunting dog, but he sure retrives well for a working dog. Hope this is ok with the forum rules....

He sure looks like a beauty. Can you give us more details about where he went missing. I live south of Bancroft and I have retriever friends that live north and east of Bancroft. It would help if we knew where to watch for him.

I was south of Bancroft of 62. Upper turiff road area scout for some ducks. He was missing since Saturday morning. He's skittish around people he doesn't know, so he might try to run away. If you sweet talk him, he will come closer. Definitely food motivated. If you have some treats with you, maybe you can lure him close enough for a leash.

Thanks for looking, me, my wife and our cats are all :pukey: without him.
