I just got back from my hunting trip out west in Saskatchewan with my 7.5month old GSP pup, his mother Diamond(4 Years Old) and my buddies Brittany(6 Years Old). We had a great time together and my pup pointed his first Hungarian and Pheasant(no open season for non residents) and retrieved alot of Hungarians and some ducks. I have trained hard this summer with the help of the breeder(Peter) who joined me on this wonderful trip. All of the dogs did great but I was amazed with Diamond who never missed a heartbeat on pointing Huns and Sharptails for a dog that has never seen these birds. It was very hot last week and tough scenting conditions for the dogs. You could say that I am very happy with the progress of my hunting partner and I look forward to many trips like this one with him. I thought I would share some pictures with everyone.
