For those of you who read the fall turkey hunting article in a recent issue of ONTARIO OUT OF DOORS, I can say for sure that using your dog to find and "bust em up" really does work. In my case the dog is an 18 month old Lab. Once I put him away in the car, I returned to the spot in the bushlot where he had flushed more than a dozen birds, set up next to a tree, blew the KEE KEE RUN call a few times and only had to wait for 20 minutes for two hens to show up running in single file; I just had to wait until they separated to harvest the leader.
