Pelle Island Trip

What a trip. I got my 10 birds but the group was down 50% . We also got stuck on the island for another extra 3 days. We where to get off on Sat. and we where lucky to get off Mon. night. Got home 12:30am . The winds would not let the Ferry run. We had a good time but that ferry puts a damper on things . Birds where hard to hunt this year no walk in the park you had to work for your birds. Don't think that they put out as many birds this year. But the birds that they did put out where nice birds long tails big cock birds and they could fly. Met some nice guys from Lucan they did well . Good to be home. Terry

Well done ......any pics? what is the land scape like for hunting? fields,bush
swampy?

not so good about the ferry,I have heared this before.

Didn't take any pics as we have been going for 4 yrs. The crops where almost off all beans no corn at all . You had to hunt the headge rows land is mostly flat. There is lots of cover ,woods and fields to hunt but you had to have good dogs . No rain this year but the next hunt will be wild . They put the birds out on Monday and they can get a long way back . We're going on Nov20. I think it is the third clean-up. We've always had good luck. Have to work for birds but they are there.

I was not planning on going this year maybe a couple years I took her out to peters place this weekend. She made me proud! Sounds good
