If you have high cover I would get Zinger Winger uplander. I have 3 all work good even in the winter or great for flyers. Terry

I have two of the small DT launchers. Work fine for quail, pigeons and chuckar. I also have a couple that I build. One is good for pigeons etc and the other launchs a pheasant or a dokken quite a ways.:bigrin

Check Lion Country Supply for their model, it is the old Innotek I believe.

I have been doing some research and I like the Dogtra Brand and for the money at Cabela's which is the cheapest I have found? Jermey, I looked the Lion Country unit and for a few more bucks I can get the DT unit from Cabela's. I don't have high cover in some of the places where I plan to use it or else the ones from Zinger Winger look good. Thanks everyone for your feedback. Looks like I need to plan a trip to Cabelas in the near future He! He!

If you haven't bought one yet. Take a look at the pigeon/quail DT Launcher. Built sturdy has a beeper locator. If you can try one out you will defintely see the difference. Really quiet and smooth on opening. Great for working young dogs.

If you're using live birds for upland flushing or pointing work...the Higgins releases are EXCELLENT...operately smoothly keep the bird in one place until your dog sets up a hunt/point (until you remotely trigger the lid to open)...no throwing, no springs...the birds typically sit tight until your dog pressures them (flushers) or until the handler does for pointers... then they flush. Nice and natural, no sleeping, no dizzying etc....they work really really really nicely!

I use the Zinger winger Uplander actually I use most of Robs throwers not to start a policatal fight but buy a Canadian made product . Rob stands behind his products 100 precent and if anything goes wrong much easier to get repaired here Just my 2cents .

THESE are perfect devices when using live birds in training for upland OR flushing breeds.

2 thumbs up to Higgin's on this one.

I haven't had a chance to try these yet, but they look very promising.
Also, Brad is VERY good to deal with. Definately a top notch guy.:first:
