naw, seriously folks,some great dawgs conversations,a lot-o-laughs,just a plain good ole time

we each got what i beleive were black mallard crosses because there was an indication of white along the bottom edge of the dark patch of purple on the wings.yet it was slight and the birds were so dark it got us second guessing so we were careful not to shoot another

anyone here know what the criteria is for determining a black mallard hybrid

Nice looking dogs ,good to see the camra held up on the pics The COs down here look at the wing if the speckulm has a white band at the top and bottom = malard if the wing has one band =black /malard hibread i also asked the bio at kemptville and he agreed or u can hunt in Que where the the limit is 2 blacks but we dont shoot hen anyway :worms: :emmbarassed:
