I'm not sure if Chocdog will survive the whelping of Piper's puppies . I think the delivery will be harder on him than Piper . I told him to have Sylvia there for support but she is in England . I think she would have been an asset but you guys get on this thread and give him some ideas that kept you calm when your dog was having puppies.
We are so lucky to have Ruth Beach close at hand . She has delivered more puppies than any vet , she will come night or day and her prices are much more reasonable .( Free) :spoton:
It is scarier the first time and I'm sure Dave will get through it but he is so nervous.

It is a very scary thing the first time ( at least for me it was). Is she due any day now? I am home on break right now but will chime in later with some idea's that I learned from my experience.

Start taking her temp and watch for the drop. Mercedes dropped from 101 to 98 late Sunday afternoon and started whelping 16 hours later. They say once you see the drop they can go anywhere between 24 and 36 hours later.

I don't have any ideas. But good luck and sending moral support!! Ruth is awesome. As some of you know we got Drake from her she is a huge asset to have with any questions I have.
