Hey Gang,

I was kinda hoping that you guys may have some idea's for me. My parents have always wanted to go to Las Vegas and this has intensified ever since my wife and I went their for our honeymoon.

Well my wife and I were planning on giving them a trip to Vegas for Xmas ( my brother and I were going to split it.) but we have recently recieved some bad new's that threw a wrench into our plans.

My father's health has been failing the past few years and his doctor told him last week ( after a lengthy hosital stay) that he will never be able to fly anywhere again as this will most likely kill him and if it doen't it will take years off his life so .....

Does anyone know of any other way's to travel to vegas? I looked into sending them by Via Rail out to Vancouver and then they could drive down but a Via rail trip for the 2 of them is $3000.00 one way:censored:

If any of you have any idea's I would love to hear them, I am trying everything I can to find a way to send them down there while he still can go.

Thanks

Drew

My grand parents used to go there on bus tours all the time. Everything taken care of, neat and tidy, and no hassles. Might be an option. Good luck

Also might want to check out the US rail costs. Usually cheaper than Via. Can take them to Detroit or Buffalo and they can go from there.

Amtrak (http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak/FareFinder?_tripType=Return&_origin=Detroit%2C+MI+%28DET%29&_depmonthyear=2007-05&_depday=05&_dephourmin=&_destination=Las+Vegas+-+Airport+Bus%2C+NV+%28LAS%29&_retmonthyear=2007-05&_retday=22&_rethourmin=&_adults=2&_children=0&_infants=0&_searchBy=schedule&x=15&y=18)
I worked it out on the amtrak website...looks like about $1000 for 2 people from Detroit to Las Vegas.
It might change if you go on there yourself and put in the dates that you want
