I got a new layout blind for Christmas, the Avery Finisher. The camo pattern on it is a little light (KW-2), I think, but after mudding it up and putting stubble in it, I am sure it will work just fine. I am Looking at buying a second layout blind and was thinking about buying a different pattern on that one.
So what pattern do you think is the most versatile?

Hey Mike,
I also got one at Christmas - a Cabelas Elite in Max-4 HD.
(You missed that pattern in your poll. In addition, there is also those "corn" patterns.)
I agree - once you get them dirty and put stubble on them, it really won't matter much which pattern you use!!

My vote was for Natural Gear, I like mine and find it pretty easy to blend into lots of situations.
With the stubble you will be attaching to the blind the camo pattern is only a base anyway.

The reason I didn't include other patterns was bc I really like the Avery finisher and was trying to figure out if I should get one with a different pattern on it for my second one. I will be getting the khaki neotubs for them anyways so will likely go with something other than that just to give me more options. Looking forward to all your input though. Leaning towards the natural gear myself as I think it will look pretty good on the rocks and make a good base for putting stubble in in the fields.

Khaki cost less than the camo patterns sometimes. You typically will "mud up" the blind anyway to remove the shine from the fabric/pattern so why pay bucks for the shiney camo? The key is to camo the blind with surrounding vegetation. :spoton:
yup i did the same thing.. Got a FA Eliminator Pro Guide for $150 when our dollar was @ par from Rogerssportinggoods.com.
I figured by the time it's properly mudded and camo'd up why pay the extra for the camo they won't see anyways..

THanks for your comments and to everyone who voted. I got a great deal on a khaki neotub from St. Lawrence outfitters yesterday. I figured it would make the layout blind a little more versatile and be able to bury it a little more and keep dry when I am hunting the rocky shoreline on the Bay of Quinte or wet fields.
