Truck Tents

Has anyone used the truck mounted tents ? I was looking at one and thought it would be better than a tent on the ground and since my truck is towing the quad and training gear I can't tow a camper.

I've seen them and they look very handy. My only concern is if your camping for a few days, you have to keep detaching/reattaching the tent to the truck every time you want to go exploring.

Anyways I've seen your truck, it'll pull a 30ft. trailer with the ramp in the back for the fourwheelers and everything folds down for living space. Come on, go big...or bigger...:idea:

I was looking into them for my moose hunt this fall as I am going to be alone for the first week and did not want the agrivation of setting up the camp by my self.

I talked to a couple of guys that have them and what they said was they liked them and they worked great as long as you do not need to use your truck for the time that you are camping as it is a pain to set it up every day.

Other than that they liked them, I did ask if they wore the trucks paint in any sort of wind and neither of them had any problems so far.

LOL. you forgot to add the storage space for gas cans. I'll just keep reminding my wife about all the ESSO points we get.
