So did any of you catch the Dog Wisperer tonight? He got a call from the author of the book & movie "Marley & Me", it seems that he has a new yellow lab in the house.....

According to the show after Marley passed they searched high and low looking for a reputable breeder and ended up getting a yellow lab out of Hunting Lines.......

Well suprisingly this is a well mannered dog but it has one problem...... too much prey drive (suprise suprise) and is killing his chickens.

The best part of the show was they called in a FT trainer to help direct this dogs energy in a more approiate manner...

Yup I saw it.
Thought it was great.
I am surprised that I have become a fan of the show, but I like what he does.
I like his demeanor with clients.

Damn missed that -- have been hoping to catch that episode since I heard about on RTF year or so ago -- maybe they'll rebroadcast

I've seen it a couple of times and it's refreshing to see something like that for a change. The poor ol' chickens were a tad scared. The pro and the background of the lab was well presented. I saw another episode were he fixed a farm dog from chasing the heavy equipment with an ecollar. Kind of nice to see other than the first time owner adopting a 100 lb. pitbull from rescue or some mini mutt going wild.

I saw that one, I have seen a couple more of the more recent ones where he does his training but then takes the dog somewhere where it can have a job.

The best part is that he shows the owner that the behaviour has been influenced by them rather than something wrong with the dog.
