Pheasants

Does any one know where I could get a couple of pheasants in the York Region area? I know about Stouffville market. They are needed for a friend of mine to train his dogs on tracking. Was hoping to get them asap as I am not sure about getting to the market on Saturday.

Why not try pigeons.. cheaper and more readily available. You will also not need a license to train with them. Truth be told I have had trouble finding pigeons as well but still cheaper and they work well

For the NAVHDA tracking test, they use a pheasant with a couple of feathers removed...
Bird runs across the field (hopefully) and then the dog is brought out to see if it can track the bird.
