Hey Guys,

I am in the process of setting up my truck the way I want it and have a question. So far I have the drawer system and Dog Box set up in the truck box. I also wired in two 9" 12v cooling fans ( one for each compartment ) to keep the dogs cool.

What I am looking into is getting a power inverter and setting it up in the console so that I can store my e collar and Remote releases there. The idea is with the Inverter I will be able to have a charging system built right into the truck so everytime I use them they will be fully charged.

Does anyone have an idea of what size of inverter I will need to charge and ecoller and remote releases at the same time?

I just checked my chargers and they are 6 watts each, so a 250 watt or 500 watt would be more than enough. Two service techs at the shop I work at use 500 watt inverters to charge their cordless drills and flashlights so it should handle the releases and collar.

Drew, why not just order the car charger? Save the hassle...

I know my inverter, I have to start the car, ar turn the key to aux, then hold a button on the inverter, a terrific pain in my ass.

I thought about ordering the car charger's but I want to be able to plug in other stuff as well. It would be alot cheaper to just order the car adapters though...

My TT Collar, only gets recharged like once a month... I'm not sure if it would really be necessary to keep them charged at all times...

Go with the inverter for charging. Using the car chargers can prematurely kill your battery. I charged my cel phone and Mike radio that way and killed the batteries before there time. Use a power point for charging if your vehicle is equipped with one. My work truck has one but not my van. If it isn't get a second key cut if you have to turn the key to charge to batteries. Some of the older Chev trucks don't even require a key to start them, just turn without the key and she starts.
