Saw a guy training today

On the way home from work today I saw a guy training his retriever at a golf course around the corner from my house. Looked like he was running blinds or a water t. I have been planning on going to the golf course and asking if I could train in the pond this guy was using, its just off the highway and no where near any fairways, greens, tee boxes or the driving range. There is also a nice pond on the 11th hole that looks promising. The pond and the tee box are seperated by about yards of bullrushes and cattails.

Has anyone else tried golf courses for training?

I have a couple friends who train on a golf course during the off season, usually late fall. Lots of hills, cover changes and water.

Is Garden Hill to far from you? I know a couple places in the Kendal/Garden hill area that I go for walks. It's pretty amazing but I very rarely see anyone there. And both places have big ponds for swimming. One is more of a big lake. Let me know if you want to know where they are.
