LOHRC Hunt Test was a fun, well organized event! The grounds were excellent and the roast pig dinner was great. This one gets put in my annual event file - but only in years I won't be titling. "Tony Tsunami" the H2O specialist is fun to watch but only from a safe distance - still drying out my boots.

Cheers

Ron, they'll just get you at whatever test they see you at next! You can't escape....

It was a fun weekend. The weather, as usual, was occasionally challenging, but we managed.

My started dog, Remi, passed on Sunday, but had some water issues on Sat. My finished dog, Boots, had a complete meltdown on Sat, but redeemed himself on Sunday, doing a very good job on a tough test and coming close to passing (I messed up in the morning, and he had trouble on one mark in the afternoon).

Thank's Jojoe, My new position the with HRC is, the official H2O regional Rep. I take this new job with great respect to the owners of these great dogs that title :cheesy:
I will hold the standard of bone chilled water and ice cubes in every pail.
I will insure that 100% of the body is soaked like a wet dawg :cheesy:
I will never use beer because that is just wrong...:2:( OK maybe OV):cheesy:

Just to let some of you know, Chevy is @ 440 points and counting so get in line for Luther Marsh HRC :worms:

Kudos to all involved with this past weekend at LOHRC`s hunt test. What a great hunt! Everyone worked hard to be sure that the tests ran smoothly. The food was great all weekend! Thanks to the Hunt Secretary and Hunt Committee for all your hard work and efforts. A good time was had by all who attended.

I judged Started both days and I have to say that I had the BEST helpers ever! My Hunt Marshal, Al Davidson couldn`t have been more accommodating, or worked any harder that he did. With Chris Smith`s assistance, anything my co-judges, Mary Lou Wickens and Al Custers, and I needed were at his finger tips, even a retriever-retriever! LOL
My Marshal was also an excellent shot and brought down the birds for every handler!
My aviary specialists, Brendon, Emily, Sam and Ben were first rate over the two days. We only had 3 no birds, none of them their fault. Mother Nature was the cause of all three.
Kay and John kept the handlers coming to the line and had everything running smoothly. Ross Byers ran test dog for us both days and gave the handlers a great view of the tests.
The Started handlers were a great group. They helped us tear down and set up our tests, which kept everything moving. They looked like pack mules when they were climbing up the hill on Sunday afternoon, some were even a little wet below the waist. LOL Thank you for your help! It was greatly appreciated.
I hope everyone had as great a time as I did this weekend!
I know I will never forget our adventure at the Ranch pond. Unfortunately, some of it is etched in my mind forever! :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

This weekend was definetely a blast, as was last weekend at KAHRC. I may have had a little drive to get here, but let me tell you folks , it was worth every single kilometer. It was awsome to see everyone again that I met last year and meet even more folks this year, and it was equally exciting to get in front of the judges and feel the buzz up front and center. Discovered a fire breathing dragon has taken over my "quiet" calm and cautions little dawg Ambr........ Never saw that coming.

Brought Pyper (my yellow female) up on this trip just to train, as I have been working on some issues that have been haunting us for the last year and a half. Before I left for my trip down to Kingston to and hang out with Kevin Hannah and his wife Eva, she had been showing some improvement, then once I got down there, the more things we did, the better she did. Its awsome to see lightbulbs coming on in some one elses dog, but undescribably when they come back on in your own. Still have some attitude issues, but persistance is going to pay off. She was amazing as far as I am concerned.

YUP..........two great weekends for sure!!!! Can't wait till next year.

I am not sure which is my most favorite club Kingston or Lake Ontario...... :stirpot:

Both clubs have been great to me over the years. I am sorry that I missed the excitement of the last couple of weeks.

Congrats to Al and Garth on the 500 points, to Deb.... Anyone who drives 20 hours to train and run tests with their Labs is one hell of a person :first:
