I was looking at trapping my own because there are a couple buildings here that I may be able to sweet talk (pay) the super to let me trap on top of. I'm thinking of building or buying my own trap but its hard to find canadian places to buy the traps from. I have searched under just about every bridge in Durham, but most of the 401 bridges dont have anywhere for a bird to roost. I'm gonna try some of the train bridges later on. Anyone here trap their own pigeons?

I have a buddy that traps some for me. He puts the trap on top of a office building. If he leaves a bird in it, he gets them in the trap on fairly regular basis.
Be careful and keep your trapping endeavours quiet. It is against the law to trap birds unless you have a pest control license, (even with the permission of the building owner - they're not his birds either. ) They are a protected species , just like mourning doves. A fellow was recently charged for trapping (net) birds under the overpass here. It's like having 50 pheasant sleeping in your barn , only they are always out of season. LOL
I trap my own, I pissed off the pest control guy that was charging to trap them, I offered to pay for the ones I caught, the owner of the building said take them all!
By the way I have trap doors that work prety good

Dan I was looking at the doors on your site, can I just build a 1X1 frame and put he doors in and cover it with chicken wire? or are your doors more for johnny houses.
I guess you can use them for johnny houses, With this door you add it to your own trap, I leave the door open for a week and bait heavy. After a week I close the door, those use to going in that way push the door open to get in and cant get out.
You can easily biulda door like that, I carry the for guys that dont want to bother building one.
