I find force fetch to be one of most effective tools for training I've worked with so far. I have a GSP & a chocolate lab who are moving along at a great pace and I can see them getting better every day. I know some use the ear pinch, but I find the toe pinch to work best for my dogs, what I was wondering is --- once every day or 2 during the small time spent on force fetch the dog will decide maybe I dont want it this time, so when I pull the toe pinch they will resist for awhile but I dont let off, sometimes they cry out quite bad - is there a chance this would be so bad to injure the dogs toes?? I dont want to let the them train me to let off the pain but on the other hand I dont want to cause an injury either.
