Grouse Trip 09 PICS

Well, back from my annual bird trip.

Bird numbers were really low, but we ended up with 20, 2 ducks and 1 woodcock.

Saw a biG freeking bear, helped 3 guys load a moose in a trailer and watched this lynx for 10 - 15 minutes.

Got mostly spruce grouse, which was odd this year.

The Dogs worked great, and worked up an apetite. Thanks to them that we managed to get the birds we did. Numbers are way low this year.

He tought I was back in the cottage when he pulled this on me.

Thanks for the pix Dan. There are not too many species of animal that are native to Ontario that I haven't seen at some time or another but the Lynx is one of them. That would have been a special 15 minutes for sure.
