Holding Blinds

Built some holding blinds this morning using camo burlap, zip ties and some copper tubing. Work pretty well for my purposes at home.

Really working on line manners with Abbie, have to, or we're not going any further in testing.:cry:

Going to do the whole drill, leave her in her kennel in the truck, fire off a couple of poppers, call dog to the line and get her absolutely geared to the nines. Bring her out and stage her in the holding blind. Hopefully I can create enough exitement in her in order to work with to bring her down so she doesn't "Disturb the Hunt".

If she's quiet, she gets to retrieve, if not, pressure and in the truck...and repeat.

That might work in the beginning for the first 2 or3 times until she catches on. Then you will need to get out in a group to get her excited enough for a correction. Once she figures that out , you will find the only time she gets bad is at a test when she knows you can't correct her or in a new place she has never been before in a group with dogs she doesn't know.
