Well I'll tell ya right now, I am one of the biggest BPS bashers out there, not for the products, prices or the store itself but for the staff (don't get me started). Anywhooo, went in yesterday to pick up a few things and my god I am so glad I didn't take the visa...lets just say, wetland camo, decoys, mojo decoys, blind bags, duck and goose calls, bumpers, finisher blind, aaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!

Is it christmas yet?

Wound up getting some camo burlap (holding blinds), jeans and a couple of shirts, not much, but for my size Peterborough is pretty limited for clothes that fit and that I like.

My visa wouldn't say ouch for a trip like that, it would be my ASS, from my wife kicking it up and down the street...lol...

Oh and I forgot to say that I agree with you on the staff issue Nimkii. If you are at Cabela's and ask a staff member a question they are very friendly, knowledgable and helpfull.

Now if you ask the same question at Bass Pro in Toronto...... well in the spirit of being politially correct I will leave that alone:doh:

I will however praise their customer service, last fall I went up there to buy a couple of packs of Big Foot Decoy's. Well one of the boxes were short a decoy so I called them up and instead of sending me the missing decoy they sent me a whole package OF 4!!!

But I still prefer Cabela's and will got out of my way to go there instead of Bass Pro

Ya, I have to agree with the customer service.....I had a pair of those Red Head Dry Bone rubber boots......I wore the shit out of them and then they started to crack in the instep. I brought them back.........they exchanged them with no questions asked!!!!:clap2:

Yep, gotta love BPS! I went there to pick up some things for my boyfriend for Christmas. The salesguy saw me looking around and walked over. He must have thought I had no idea what I was doing because I was a female. I told him specific items that I was looking for and he started handing me all this other crap which was not even close to what I was looking for. I was about to start comparing angling accomplishments with him, but thought better of it and sat back and enjoyed the sales "expertise". It was quite amusing!

I do like the fact however that you can take your dog in there. Dax got to go on our last trip and we were there for hours. He was little Mr. Popularity and we couldn't get very far before a new person would oooh and aaah over him. He loved it!

Oh, and Nimkii, I still have your dvd's!!! Will you be at training this weekend?

The only good thing I can say about Bass Pro is that we have never had trouble returning the primer pistols we bought there. Have 2 to go back right now. The transfer plate at the hammer keeps breaking, what a pain. As to the staff I can only say that I left a very scathing comment form one time, never did get responce but it sure is frustrating dealing with people that don't know a thing about the department they are supposed to be working in.

By the way I bought an Alpha from Rob and it is great.
