Dog boxes and trailers

Is there a reason why all dog boxes are made out of that meshed stainless steel pattern? Or is it just cosmedic......?

If you are talking about the checker plate aluminum that you see on alot of trailer's and boxes and stuff I believe it is just cosmetic. In my eye's it offer's no structureal advantages or anything else.

A lot of it is asthetic I think with the diamond plate. Some people really like the look of it and some comanys seem to build everything out of it. Others offer it as an option. I am not really a big fan of the look of the boxes and trailers that are all diamond plate myself, it looks good though when it is kind of mixed into the unit in areas though. But that is just my opinion.
