It's soccer and baseball tournament weekend for the kids here in Peterborough, so unfortunately no I won't be heading there. I would have loved to have gone and watched. The original plan was to go and camp in the area with the family, but plans change. I here it is a good time. Oh well, maybe next year...

Good luck to you Kevin and all the others that are going down...

Hey Nimkii,
I'll likely see you at the soccer pitch this weekend as well. My son will be playing in the U10 division.

Good luck to those going to Vermont!

I'm jumping over to CKC for awhile. Mountain Valley in Flamborough this weekend. Be at Eastern Ontario Retriever Club in Clayton that weekend. Start trying to put a JH on the pup and TRY to string 6 Master passes together and qualify for Canadian Master National on the black dog by end of August. I dunno though, may be a bit to much to ask. Will go down swinging though!!!! Heard Vermont has beautiful grounds and is a VERY good time. Good luck on that black dog!!!!!!!

What time are you guys getting there? I can try and set up some training areas and hook up with you guys. The past couple years I have been judging so I have been busy on Friday during setup but this year I am not doing anything. I was going to run mine as set up dogs at a few of the tests on friday but would rather train. I am leaving on Wednesday so let me know and I can see what I can set up in the area.

Kevin, On Sunday it sounded like we where going to leave @ 8:00 am on Friday from Oshawa. I think it is about 5-6 hours drive. I will let you know better after this weekend and you are more than welcome to train with us.

Let me know how many and what time you will be getting there and I can set up some grounds when I get down there with Margo and Paul. They will be able to hook us up for sure.

Heres a small tip for you, train this week in hilly fields. When you are in vermont you are either going up a hill, down a hill or across a hill. Not too many flat areas.

I can arrange that, I have set up some training spots already and will check them out on friday morning before you guys show up. Lots of land to choose from and even a couple water spots but one of them is not so great.

Packing the truck right now to leave for Vermont. We will be spending a couple days down there with friends and then heading back up to the test grounds on Friday morning and will be spending the day training with some of the people coming down from region 1.

See you when we get back, I will try and check in while I'm away.
