Started Abbie off with some basic obediance, sit, stay, here, heel. On and off lead. Then I busted out the noise maker, The Retriever Trainer. I wrapped her lead to a goal post at the field we were working on, hooked her into the other end and let it fly. On the fourth launch she finally clued in that if she sits and stays at heel, she won't go ass over tea kettle :yikes: when she goes for the bumper. All retrieves were pretty solid after that except for some creeping. I still left her on lead through the rest of the retrieves.
Next we moved onto some directional casting, simple overs to start then some backs. After that was complete she was getting pretty tired. We worked on a Single T to see how it was coming along, she got it on the third try but with a little help on the last over, I had to use a lot of body and arm to get her to go but she went. The bonus I felt and I was pumped to see was that she is really improving on listening to the whistle... :nice work:
Brought her home, watered her then threw her outside and hosed her down...'
Good day I feel...
