It just makes me sick when I read a post like this cause I know what it,s like to loose a pet friend. Sorry for your loss, when I lost my Peake a few years ago a friend told me to bury him in my heart and he will always be with me so I will pass this along to you

Thanks for caring guys, she didnt have a chance.
It was Gastric Torsion, or stomach flip. Now she wasnt a large dog and she was never one to gorge herself she would only eat 2 cups of kible a day. I think she OVER HYDRATED in the warmer weather, but Dr Babcock that did the post mortem said it was just one of those freek things that happen. She was predispositioned to have it happen to her sooner or later..
And surgery would not garanty anything, it would of only prolonged the agony it would come back sooner or later.
This condition is a death sentence for you dogs. PLEASE monitor what they ingest, food or water....for more information on this google Gastric Torsion.

So sorry.
Someone stole my little dog 5 years ago and I still wonder about her every day. The down side of loving a dog is the grief we all have to go through sooner or later.

I don't usually send condolences and what not on boards, but it's such a small comunity here that I feel compelled to say something! Just without the proper words to express it.
I'm sorry for your loss, and you can be certain I'll be double careful with my pup!
Very Sorry to hear that, just lost a dog in April seems like yesterday, we are still thinking of him everyday, and still cant believe he is gone.

Very sorry to read about your loss. 6 years is way too young. I lost my 9 year old Lab to cancer in November and my 12 year old Brit on Sunday. Two young pups at home now keep us busy, but the huge void is still there. My condolences.

How awful :( Losing a dog has to be one of the hardest things to go through. I've made a deal with Tyra, who is now 7, that she has to out-live me because I don't think I'll ever be able to handle losing her.
Again, very sorry to hear about your loss.
