I just got an email about Horseshoe HRC's WC test being held on July 7, its a WC only, no WCI or WCX.
I found the test rules online, but how do the titles work, I can't find any info on how many passes are needed.
More than likely be heading to that one.

The Working Certificate (WC), the Working Certificate Intermediate (WCI) and the Working Certificate Excellent (WCX) are all CKC single pass titles. That is you only have to pass once to obtain the title.
These titles must be done in progression - WC first, then WCI, then WCX. A dog and handler cannot just walk in and do a WCX.
The Mountain Valley Retriever Training Club (MVRTC) usually holds their WC/WCI/WCX tests on every other Thursday evenings. (For exact dates you can go to the CKC website or check the MVRTC website). Entry is limited to 15 dogs for these evening events and they usually have a nice BBQ to go along with the test. A really relaxing night out!!
I have worked through these titles (all three) with my dog and I have to say it was a great experience and generally more relaxed than doing hunt test. IMHO, these are great "warm-ups" for an inexperienced dog and handler that would like to try running hunt tests.

Thanks. Sounds like a good way to spend a Saturday with the family and end my vacation on a good note.
Oh yeah and by the way, great job judging the tests at LOHRC.
Agree with Randy in regards to the tests, they are a little more "fun". The only thing you have to be carefull of is that a lot of the WC tests are held on week days like Thurs. or Fridays. Once in awhile they incorporate into the regular weekend hunt test. The entries are usually smaller and the clubs may very well use the same 2 judges for all three levels of tests. So read your judges list (in case you dislike a certain judge), dates and times real carefull before committing. Go for it.

We also are having a Nahra test run at the same venue that weekend so for more bang for your buck you could also run in the started Nahra test too!
