My bands.

I don't waterfowl as often as I should :omg: , but here is a pic of the bands we shot at our club lease.

These birds were banded on Akimiski Island, Nunavut.

Nice man, I have lost count of the geese I have taken over the years and I have yet to even see a band let alone get one.

That was a day I won't forget. 2 geese came in. I took the lead bird and my buddy took the other. When his GSP brought them in, Mine had the neck collar and leg band and his had two leg bands. I didn't see the collar before the shot but after, I saw the flash of colour and thought I had shot it in the neck.

where i started waterfowling we shot bands each year for 9 years i had a nice lanyard full of them then i moved still hunted lots but whent 8years with out a band saw some shot by others but not me even have seen so reward bands ! a100 and a 50 dollard band after the drought i have now gone 4 years stright and shot a band, shot 4 banded snow geese in 2004 hope my luck holds out bands are a great way to rember a hunt this year i got my first band on the 417 the bird was dead on the side of the road doing the bumber to bumber crawl saw the band on its lag and could not resist pulled over and got my first band of thr year .one thing u can do is find out if they do any banding in your area and hunt there it might not get u a band but it sure helps just keep pluging and your band will come i your case it will be that much sweeter :ban:
