from my brother today...he lives 2 miles outside of haliburton Village...I have edited a bit.
Oh, just a little tidbit for the stupid *%*#$ government file; they decided to put fences around all of our landfills to keep the bears out, at what cost I can only imagine. Now our trash is safe, but our homes and cottages have become very dangerous. No Spring Bear Hunt, an exploding bear population, and now thousands of bears with a taste for our leftovers with their noses to the air. We had a bear-visit Sunday night. She got the doors open to my garbage bin and absolutely destroyed our Rubbermade garbage can. Just try to put a hole in that heavy plastic. She ripped it like it was made of cardboard. Very frightening. I am now quite afraid to walk up to the studio after dark. Had to go up grab my computer last night. Nacho came with me, and when I was carrying him back down the driveway, he heard something and started to go nuts. I picked up my pace and was very glad to be back inside. *+%$#* idiots. Protect the dumps and frig the property owners.
