Anyone feel the ground move? Shook pretty good here in Port Perry.

It was our second evacuation of the day... I made some amusing evacuation observations...

1 - Fire Alarm - Everyone took 40 seconds to stand up and start waddling towards the doors...
2 - Earthquake - People scrabled to get out those doors... If they were timing THAT one, we would have won. Goes to show you how we've become acclimated to firedrills, and it may kill us! :sing:

Are you talking about the earthquake here in NY? My mil just called me all freaked out that we had earthquake. If we had one I was too busy to notice but our news says that it was along the lines of 5something magnitude.

5.5 just north of Ottawa

Yeah it was 5.5 and 60km North of Ottawa on the QC side...

Lots of pictures falling off walls in the building here in Ottawa, and lots of racing hearts, but no damage.

That is amazing, we are so far away from each other! I hope everyone is ok. I just heard that is was from Buffalo to Albany, Vermont, New Hampshire and into Ottawa. Have you heard anything else?

Yes sir. One fairly strong single shake, then two more smaller ones shortly after. Most everyone sitting down in my building felt it, but people moving around did not.

I live on a big rock here in Muskoka and I felt it, I was on the computer when it started shaking here. That,s the most excitement i,v had in a long time. were not know for living in the fast lane up here. :biggrin:

I was conducting a funeral service at the time.....maybe that had something to do with it !!?
