Luther Marsh Hunting Retriever Club will be hosting a FREE Judges and Handlers Seminar at the Mohawk Inn in Campbellville (near Milton) this Saturday July 7th. This seminar is open to ALL handlers. While its primary function is to renew your judges qualifications for judging HRC hunt tests it is a great day for all dog handlers to learn what to expect and what you will see at HRC Hunt Tests. All handlers are welcome to attend this informative day and will definitely learn some valuable information on running hunt tests.

Hi Tim - we like for people to pre-register so we know the size of room to get and so we have enough coffee and donuts available.
Also, if you are a judge (or thinking of judging) it is important to sign in when you get there. Our Field Rep (Bob Black) submits the names to the HRC. It is a requirement that all judges attend the seminar once every three years.
Most of the LMHRC will be out for this event - Rob, Al, Scott, myself, Henry and Marion, Jeff, Mario, Paul, etc - not to mention there are several coming from other HRC clubs in Region 1.
I will count you in if you wish?
Randy
The wife and I are signed up and will be there for sure. First one we've been too so interested to see how it works. See ya'll there.

I will be there, I have told Bob Black that I will be going. I assume he lets you know of anyone he hears from as randy.

I did all my correspondense through Bob Black via email. I didn't get any paperwork or forms to do. Got an email attachment with scheduled start time, location, and directions. Plus a "your more than welcome to attend" which was good enough for me. Love the HRC attitude!!!!!!!!! See ya Saturday:)

It is fairly informal session - but we do try to get through an agenda. As I mentioned, we like most to pre-register so we don't have people sitting on other people's laps. Also, there is printed material that Paul Ramponi will be handing out - we want to make sure we have enough on hand. There are also some video clips that will be seen to get an example about what is being discussed.
I heard from Bob Black this morning and we have about 20-22 people registered. It should be a good time for everyone!!
As I mentioned in another thread (over in the Hunt Test section), Paul Ramponi is an excellent presenter and has been involved with the HRC at many levels - he is the Field Rep for Region 7, he is a Finished level judge, and he sits on several committees of the HRC, Inc. He is also a very accomplished trainer recently putting an GRHRCH (that is a "Grand Hunting Retriever Championship" title) on his dog Sidney. On top of all of this he is a really nice guy that is easy to talk to.
The seminar will start at 8:00am and finish around 4:00pm. We will take about 30-60 minutes for lunch (which is not supplied by the club and is about the only cost for the day).
