I have seen on a couple of posts that there has been some language used that seems to have offended another user. I don't condone the use of certain terms and myself have used some colorfull expressions in the past and will use one or two in the future.
So my point being we all used to frequent anther site name not mentioned where we basically lost our freedom of expression and language and thoughts to the point where we are not welcome there anymore and I don't want to see this same crap ( was going to use another word but chose not to) here it does not happen to often so lighten up I hear far worse on the TV every day.

There are 100000 things worse going on in the world today to let something as small as this upest you. Remember we all chose to come here and read what everyone has to offer if you don't care for what you see you can easily chose to look elswere for your entertainment.

I am here to meet new people and find as much knowledge as I can to help me train my dogs and offer what I can to help others and the colorfull personallities of the fine folks here is just an added bonus.

Well since it's "my fault" this all began, personally if I was calling someone a whore it would be different, but I think I should be safe to call myself whatever I want...

I think the thing to remember is that there are certain words that some people don't like or are offended by so when typing stuff just keep that in mind. If you are reading a thread and there is a comment or a word in the post your reading and you don't like it then just read on and ignore it. If certain people keep using words you don't like you can change your settings to ignore certain posters.

If we started a list of all the words that offend every person on the board I think the list would get REALLY long. After seeing first hand the result of this type of moderating from the "other board" we have no intention of doing the same thing here.

Just remember we are all here to learn more about training our dog, to talk to others that enjoy the same things as us and to have fun as well.

Well Said Kevin, This board is a fantastic place to meet new friends and learn very valuable dog information. The boards freedom is also very important. I have not yet left this board with out a smile and the feeling of just talking to good friends, that I haven't even meet yet. If you want to be offended, stand outside a grade school's playground for 10 min.
I think maybe Case, was just warning Frank, knowing how other boards react to certain language. I love reading her post's, and hope she will continue to share with us. When I first posted on this board, I mentioned puppy mills, and how I hated them. Kevin was on me in a flash to remove any and all puppy mill comments. Explaining to me "NO" one on this board is associated with mills. So I'm sure if anyone goes to far, they will be warned in a very timely manner.
To much school, make's Jack a dull boy, laughter is the key to health. :nice work:

Thank you for your kind words Huntmaster.

I work at the jail. All day I hear : fukc you, bitch, crack-whore, les, psuys, dcki, :wtf: smiliesex: etc. etc. etc. etc.
When I come home and go to my computer to relax at a forum, I don't want to read these words too.
This is Drew's forum; he pays the bills. He and his mods have decided not to moderate language. That is their choice and I respect their right to do what they want on their forum.
Other forums have different standards. Every forum is different. This forum has many young men. Great! On my favourite forum everyone is over 50. I seldom post there. There is a such a wealth of wisdom/experience with dogs that I just read, listen and ask questions.
Drew has always been kind and fair to me. I hope this forum becomes all that he intended it to be.

P.S. If someone finds something offensive in this Drew, please feel free to correct it. Thanks.

Hey Gang,

I think it is time that I weigh in on this one. I apologize for the delay of doing so but I have been pre-occupied with other stuff right now.

I just want to let you all know that the Mods and I are in fact always on the look out for rude comments and foul language and we will edit any comments that we deem rude or offensive. We will not tolerate anyone that attacks any of our member's or someone that posts foul language ( swearing ).

We do however want to keep this forum on the lighter side of things, that is why we do not have a huge list of rules. We pride ourselves in the fact that this forum resembles conversations that you would hear on ony tailgate at a hunt test or field trial. We want our member's to feel like they can be themselves and not have to conform to a pre- determined list of rules. We feel that our member's can enjoy themselves more this way.

In regards to the post that started all this. I did have the chance to read it and both the mods and myself agree that it is a non issue. The word in question was not used to describe either a member or a person, it was only used as an analogy to descibe that he loves looking at pedigree's. Now if Frank would have called one of our member's this it would have been moderated and Frank would have been warned. We will not tolerate bad language on the forum but please use your best judgement when posting.

I hope this clears everything up on how we stand on this issue. If there are any problems please feel free to contact either myself or one of the Mods. And while yes I do pay all the bills here I do not consider it " my forum". In reality it is everyone's forum as you are the people who made it what it is today. I have said this from the very beginning, the forum belongs to all of you...... I just pay the bills:doh:

Drew, Its nice to know you call this forum ours, and I think we all know the work you guys put in to it on a daily bases. There is nothing wrong with a donation box for those that would like to contribute, nor is it illegal, I know I would throw in a few bucks here and there. I would also buy a T-shirt with: Canadian Hunting Dogs Forum, wrote on it, and wear it with pride. Since all hunt test require Camouflage, that would be a good choice of color. plus it would be worn to all hunting events, great exposure. If you say this Forum is all of ours, then we should have an opportunity to show our appreciation to the creator, and help keep the forum strong. Just my thoughts" how about the rest of you! Want a t-shirt and would you donate?? Hats are a good choice also!

I think Hats are a much better idea, as getting t-shirts to fit "everyone" (myself) can be problematic... Get us some Camo Hats, and I'll buy 2.

Kev, that is friggin' Money!!! That's what it's gotta be for sure!!

I wear 3X, I know it's do-able, but baseball hats are just easier to organize. We've gotten them for 15$ in black, not sure what we can do for camo.
