got out for a quick hunt today

The dog in the picture is B-Line's Water Fowler ( FTCH AFTCH FC Taylor Labs Magic Trick MH x HRCH Classie's Belle MH WCX ) Owned and trained by Tom Robins. Fowler is 15 months old and has picked up alot of birds for him so far this year he work like a finished dog to day with all the guns shooting over him. Keep an eye out for him in Master and finnished next year

Can I come hunting with you? Tam (my youngest dog) and I have been out 3 times with some guys up here and he hasn't had a chance to retrieve one bird yet! Saturday night, birds flew over our heads twice so close that I could almost reach up and grab them with my hand - the gun jammed..... The guys on the other side of the pond shot 5, their untrained dog couldn't pick them up, by the time we got over there, it was pitch dark. Tam, having not seen a bird fall yet, really wasn't sure what the purpose of the whole thing was, and really didn't want to get in the water for no reason, in the dark. We did go back the next morning and found 2 of them. Not too good for eating at that point, but in the freezer for training next spring. I must say my experience so far is that hunting is NOTHING like the training we do.... At least Tam was steady for all the gunfire, and he did a great job picking up all the empty shells from previous hunts. :smile:

quick......Friend I haven't shot that many ducks all season.....sigh. i'm moving the blind next year.
