Hey,
I noticed a post over on RTF about someone that get's up at 5am to do yard work and then does marks in the afternoon. This got me wondering how many people actually do this?
I'd have to get up at 4:30 to do it ( I need my morning coffee to function) and install flood lights but it is very do-able.

I wish I could make myself do it, if it stays this hot then I am not going to have much choice but to drag my ass out of bed and do yard work before the day heats up.

I usually have enough time to get dressed, air and feed dogs, make a coffe, load the kids and off to work by 6:30.

I was doing TT and PB last year around 6 am getting ready for seasoned, haven't been doing any early mornings this year though.

Soory guys work is the cure of the dog class. Retirement is great but you have to put up with the aches and pains of old age.

I can't afford to retire -- between dogs and house I have to keep working -- I got responsible in my old age -- but I still get those aches and pains too

I find it cooler to train in the morning before work plus where I am training, there is a lot less people at 7:00am. I hate the city!

On ocasion I'm lucky enough to take him to work and train during lunch time, this really works out good because I can do drils at lunch and then marks at night.....

Now, I know I've got it pretty good in Parry Sound but:
Get up at 6:00 - wife swims about 1.5km while the pup and I escort her up the river in a canoe making sure she A)dosn't drown B) get hit by a fishing boat. Takes about an hour
I have arranged to use the farmers field accross the river from our home for training. Tucker is at the TT stage and our small yard dosn't cut it.
We canoe accross the river, train for about 30 to 45 minutes. Canoe back home, chug some coffee and then I'm off to work for 9am.
Benifit of his riding in a canoe - his down says are rock solid - it only took a couple dozen paddle slaps to get him solid.
Up side, great way to start the day. Down side, I haven't been able to hook up with another trainer locally - I drive 1 1/2 hours to train with Georgian Bay Hunting Retriever Club.

I'm on shift work... days, evening, nights, so I get training in whenever I can.
