Seems like the last little while the forum has been a little glum, quiet, and needs a "pick me up". Knowing most everyone likes summer for cookin' what's your favorite meal to whip up for a few friends. Remember YOU have to be able to cook it. Here's mine, and yes I can do most of it!!!

Load up the ol' beer fridge with some Corona's and Blue's the night before.
Pick me up some farmer cut pork ribs and boneless chicken breasts.
Whip the ribs in the Bradley smoker for about 6 hours with Pecan biscuits.
Whip up some chunky potato salad with LOTS of Hellman's mayo and onions.
Open a big can of barbecue baked beans and put in fridge with tate'r salad.
Have a couple of Corona's or Blue's while they chill.
Put the barbecue on medium heat and do the chicken slowly too.
Have a couple of Corona's or Blues while standing guard so they don't burn.
Whip up some home made tomato based barbecue sauce for the ribs.
Whip me up some onion salt based glaze for the chicken.
Have a couple of Corona's or Blue's will sauce cools.
About 10 minutes 'til eat'n put the ribs on the barb'e with chicken.
Put sauce/glaze on ribs and chicken.
Have a Corona or Blue while sauce/glaze sets.
Whipper all on a Chinette plate so no dishes to wash.
Eat way to much and enjoy your friends.
Finish eat'n, chuck plates in garbage and take about 6 Rolaids.
Clean out the rest of the beer fridge:bigrin

There.....hope that puts a smile on yer face:bf_new: Sure some of you fishin's guys can whip up some dandy shore lunches, let's hear 'em.

Heres mine, it is very similar to yours.

Load fridge with beers as listed above.
Have a few beers while loading and waiting for beers to chill.:darkbeer:
Lite the BBQ to burn off all the crap left from last use.
Have a few beers while the BBQ heats/disinfects itself.:darkbeer:
Turn heat down a bit and let the temp gauge drop from the pinned location due to the fact you had a few beers and forgot it was preheating.
Have a few beers while it drops from nuclear hot.:darkbeer:
Change to the spare tank when you realize you ran out of gas during one of the beer runs. Start Preheating again.
Have a few more beers.:darkbeer:
Open and place the ENTIRE package of hotdogs on the BBQ.
Get a couple beers because appitizers are surved on the deck.:darkbeer:
Once completely cooked surve piping hot on fresh buns with ketchup and a few more beers.:darkbeer:
By the time they hit the table I promise it will taste like your eating prime rib.
Check the fridge and make sure you don't need anyone to do a beer run before no body has the ability to drive.

P.S This is a lot better as well if you invite over some buddy's, just remember you will need more beer:doh:

I gotta say.. BARBEQUE BARBEQUE BARBEQUE. Steaks, Burgers, dogs, ribs, chicken, game. Bring it on. Nothing makes summer more than a nice barbeque and a cold beer

Try this for a summer dinner and it'll be a hit!

Of course it all starts with a trip to the booze store to stock up!

Start by cutting peeled potatoes into dollar chips, throw into a bowl with enough olive oil to coat with thin layer, add garlic salt, ground pepper, cayane pepper, sea salt, and chili peppers, stir until all potatoes are coated with the dressings. Then cut up orange, red, yellow and green peppers into slices, add cherry tomatoes, slices of onion, and mozza cheese chunk. Stir in veggies into potatoes. Put into bbq safe cooking pan cover with tinfoil and put on bbq for 35-40mins medium heat.

At the same time wrap a big white onion in tinfoil and throw on the bbq for the same time.

Then drink for a bit:darkbeer: :cocktail:

With 15mins or however you like your steak throw them on and enjoy!

Make sure you have a lot of brewskies on hand...the potatoes are spicy and promote downing one :darkbeer: quite quickly!
