Just a suggestion... Guns and Ammo Forum

How about adding a forum dedicated to the "Gun" portion of our hunting traditions. You could call it "Guns and Ammo" - ok that is a stupid name. Come up with something better like Sharp Shooter or somethign. You know, a place to post questions about what guns work best in which situations. A place to talk about what you have tried and what as worked best. Topics like what type of method to use when shooting from different positions and conditions. This would be specifically for posting "Gun" issues related to gun dogs and gun dog hunting. What do the moderators and posters think about this??

Personally, I think there are enough "Gun and Ammo" forums on all the hunting forums. This is princiaplly a dog training site, so I don't see a place for it. If Drew wishes to compete with hunting boards, then we'll have a lot of catagories to add... ;)

Hey Huntingonthebrain,

I can understand where you are coming from since all of us on the forum use guns but the other guys have a point. In the beginning when we first created this forum we had alot of different catigories, hell we even had a section for hounds and bunny hunting. We found that those sections were rarely getting used so they were axed to clean things up. Many people find that is a forum has too many sections it becomes too much.

This is why we have the tailgate section, a place that anything goes. If you have a question on guns or ammo by all means feel free to post it there.

I would love to have all kinds of sections but visually it become's too much. You can always post your gun questions in the hunting sections as well. I am always open to suggestions and in the end it is you the user's who make the final call. This issue was just delt with in the past so no need to re-open it.




Now if we can just manage to get more pointer people posting on the forum.. its so quiet right now

I got an idea for ya, go get a retriever and then you will have lots of people to chat with :cheesy: . Just kidding . I wish more pointer people would post but we just cannot seem to get them to open up.
