This is the best post I've read all year.....and I'm saying that, not because I'm a minister, but it is necessary for us to remember our beliefs, faith and what we stand for in this advent season.
Enough said........Have a safe and enjoyable holiday season and a MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

I'm in my twenties and have had the 'politically correct' thing pushed on me for a long time. My response has always been, "take things in the manner in which they are said". If someone were to wish me a Happy Hanukkah, I wouldn't snap at them that I wasn't Jewish, but rather I'd say thank you -- clearly they wished me something they believed to be a good thing. And I've stuck to my guns and have been saying Merry Christmas for the past decade, despite all the hoopla to not ;)
Merry Christmas all!

Perhaps I've lived in the fringes too long but I can't EVER recall getting a negative reaction to wishing anyone a Merry Christmas. So in the intended spirit of the statement - a Very Merry Christmas to all.
Cheers,
Ron and family

Me three.......Its always been positive...except mabey when I started reminding everyone at my workplace underground, how many sleeps left until Santa came. I can only assume that November 1st is a little to early to start singing Christmas carols over the radio.. Other then that, I've usually generated some sort of smile while wishing everyone good cheers and a Merry Christmas.

not to long ago on the news were kids were not allowed to were halloween costumes to school . so letters were sent out to parents stateing that if there kids showed up in costume they would be sent home because one of the kids did not celebrate this traditiuon and would be ofended if exposed to this . the other day down in the states people questioned the fact that after all the years the mall had been open this year they did not put up a christmas tree . and were asked if it was do to the economics and the mall said that some shoppers did not celebrate this holiday and did not feel they should be exposed to this while shopping , thanks to being P correct .i guess in time square they put up a giant CHRISTMAS TREE and the news guy said well they better stay away from there or they will be realy ofended ,and his co worker stated i hope this P correct not going to put a stop to that to .and they also touched on the kids were not able to put up CHRISTMAS decorations in there class rooms because there were kids that did not celebrate this holiday .you could see the news personal would like to have given his opinion on all this but he said he better not .

It is unfortuante about all the PC'ing that is going on and I think everyone could learn a lesson from Dubai. http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/7632364-uae-hotel-unveils-the-most-expensive-christmas-tree-at-11m
Of all the places for a Christmas tree and the saying Merry Christmas, I never would have guessed it would have been there.

Well it is time to say it. I always wait till I have things under control and that is as of 2 minutes ago. Last Christmas picture of the dogs just rolled out of the printer so everything that needs to be done has been accomplished. So to all the "dog people and their fur people" Merry Christmas.
As an aside Happy Holidays doesn't rattle my chain as much as use of Xmas.

well thanks for the info on the CHRISTMAS TREE were millons were spent . but i see the news feels it was a whole lot of tacky going on . i also enjoyed the write up on how they have tryed to crush our tradition here in CANADA but in there own country they put on this display .some times its good to just stop and take a real good look at what is realy going on around you . and enjoy CHRISTMAS for if we don`t soon start standing up for our right and traditions it just might be our last ,MERRY CHRISTMAS

Your welcome! Our company has done some work over there and it just really surprised me (and everyone at our company) knowing the rules/customs of doing business over there and knowing how strict they are if you don't follow the rules/customs.
