Hi Everyone, I am new to this board but I have been watching it for almost a month now so I thought I would join. I am going to have a new female chocolate pup as soon as my girl decides to go into heat, mates, gets pregnant and has her litter. I am reading Dobbs right now and if anyone has any other suggestions for me to read please let me know. I know will be asking for a lot of help as I want my pup to get her masters. I know I'm jumping the gun a bit but that is my goal. :first:

Welcome to the board,

There is a ton of information out there in all different kinds of media.

Here are a couple links to some places,

http://totalretriever.com/

Left hand column lists all his DVD's and printed material.
Here is a link to is articles from Retriever Journal,
http://www.totalretriever.com/rjarticles.htm
Full of info describing his program and the steps during yard work.

Here is a link to Evan Grahams web site as well,

Welcome to the board. If you get a chance, get out and watch some tests. Watch how the handlers of the good dogs work with their dogs. You can go a long ways if you make your dog your partner.

Smell the roses along the way. Try and get to as many HTS. as you can to watch dogs at all levels look in your area and see if there are any clubs you can join. There will be experienced members who can steer you in the right direction and last of all enjoy the journey along the way with your pup:dog: :dog: :dog: :dog: Oya welcome to this forum welcomeani

Welcome to the board. As Luvmylabs said, you should try to get out to see a hunt test. There is one this weekend in Roblyn, not too far of a drive for you, if you are interested. For a map you can go to this site and download the premium. http://www.cbrcc.ca/shows.asp If you go make sure to say hi.

Welcome! Hope it goes well for your litter...

Can you post or send me the pedigree of your girl, and possible sire? Just enjoy looking at the names and what not...

Thanks to all. I have gone to 2 trials already. 1 as a spectator and 1 that our lab was in. I will be going to Roblin this week-end with our girl in both days in the JR. hunt. If she passes both days she will have her JR. title. :spoton:
My husband is Huntmaster. He's getting his male pup from North Carolina and I will have a female pup from Kaliska, so we will be in competition with each other as he is teaching from the old school and I want to teach from the new school. :argue: We may meet in the middle: Mike, Hope to run into this week-end. Kevin, I would love to get Mike Lardy's book and tapes but Tom spent my share of his winnings on the wingers he just bought. Have you got a copy cheap. lol
