We had our regularly sheduled OVHRC Thursday training session last and again Yellowlab04 did not show up.
So far everytime FrankLauzon mentioned he was comming out Tim has not showed up. Tim were you taking care of your dog..smiliesex: or are you just scared of Frank? BTW: You could of came, Frank had to back out due to Pipers' heat.
Good training weather last last night and with only a few dogs to run everyone got lots of water time.
Oh ya...just thought I would mention again about all the great prizes to be had at the draw table. The prizes just seem to be piling up and getting bigger. George,Tim and the rest of the gang have done a bang up job securing these items. Should be a great event!
......and Tim it was a unanimous decision last night, you are scared of Frank.:icon1_lol:

Damn Dog... Actually the timing is pretty good, should be passed in time for the Newport CKC event, and the OVHRC event as well... Only missing out on the CKC WC at Ducross' this Monday...
Vet wants to charge 75$ for a swab to "prove" she's in heat to save the 30$ entrance fee, what does everyone else get charged for paper saying she is in heat? This was before the dripping, so not sure now, I'm going to call on Monday.

Frank my vet will not charge for that type of work try to find a vet out side of town most are a lot cheper i think the vets in Ottawa are turning in to cash cows it cost more for the visit then the cure and of course u are going to need to buy pills or cream or shampoo i think they are making money off your emotions when we meet i will give u the info to a vet in stittsville who will do slips like that for free after he knows u also will do papers for border crossing give shots sell meds all at GOOD prices just a old country vet TIM PS on thurs i was buying my new duck boat wasnt sure i could the loan for it but i did this was a little higher on my to do list and if i means i half to live my life in fear of Frank the rest of my life thats ok with me in order to have a sweet duck rig TIM

You should try a vet out in the country. I have 4 dogs and and I pay only 134.00 for all there yearly shots and he comes out to my place. I had a 6month old dog that kept losing energy, The did a xray plus a ecg test on his heart plus kept him for a day and they charged me only 150.00. In London or many larger cities it would have been outrageous.

Did they ask for the vet note frank or do you just assume you need one. Talk the the hunt secretary and see, they may take you word and refund. I usually do most people are pretty honest about it.

As anne said, this is a show lady, and wants one... I'm dealing with a country vet, at the time she wasn't dripping or nothing, I just knew she was starting a heat, so they said they'd have to do a swab, and look in the scope, I think if she's dripping I'd get a free paper, but more importantly I'm going fishing today, so they can have the 30$ lol
